People ask me, "What on earth do you do at 1:56 in the morning?"  Well tonight, my answer is……"Listening to a mouse run around the vents in my home office."

Look at this guy:

Dsc06670

What’s my deal?  Mouse in my car.  Mouse in my vents at home.

I took my camera out and snapped three pictures.  In between each one he would look up at me with a cheesy grin as if to say, "Ha ha!  You only wish you could catch me!"

But for now I’m going to bed.  I’ll deal with this little guy in the morning.

G’night.

Maybe it’s just the lighting, but that looks like a pet/domesticated mouse…do you have a neighbor who let their pet mice loose?
I knew someone who seriously started with 2 mice and within just a few months had (seriously) over 300 because the vet kept separating the males and females incorrectly.

Ugh. I hate mice. I’ll pray Psalm 91:3 over you.

first of all, MICE SUCK! I always wanted TOM to keep JERRY’S a** everytime I watched the cartoon, but it rarely happened. MICKEY MOUSE stinks too! and so does his girlfriend MINNIE! And by the way MIGHTY MOUSE, BAD CARTOON, that’s all we need is a MOUSE who can FLY! OH, I GOING TO VENT NOW – Don’t think I forgot about the three blind mice, we need more blind mice so they can fun into our peanut butter TRAPS in our car (ey! Scott). But the way, THE THREE BLIND MICE STORY SUCKS! And remember there’s a pizza place in MN called CHUCKEY CHEESE (the mascot of the place is a RAT – that’s all I need is to walk into a pizza place and think about A RAT leading the charge for my fun and food). Did I leave anyone out? I hope not, MICE HAVE CONSUMED our world-i heard that MICE, RATS, and ROACHES are the only species to survive and nuclear war! Hey, maybe if the Lord would have sent MICE PLAGUE to PHAROAH he would have left alot quicker! – WHEW! I’m done (a still in-recovery mice HATER).

  4. jamey says:

    OH, by the way – that’s “KICK” JERRY’s A**!

ick. i try to be a manly man, but knowing there were mice crawling in my vents… gives me the heeby jeebies.
the other night, my wife and i saw a stray cat in front of a coffee shop we were at. my wife said, “look, it’s chasing something – what is that?” and then she realized the cat was playing with a mouse – catching it, than releasing it, than catching it again. she FREAKED out, with a girly squeal and everything. it was priceless.

that is a big mouse… the ones i have seen in our basement are about the size of a matchbox car or even smaller than that! dont think there is any way around it… you are out in some former cornfield so you are gonna get them. whats MY excuse? hehe! you COULD have those squrrels I told you about ( the mouse in the car entry)… now that was BAD!i think you should get a cat.

  7. charlie says:

    “I hates meeces to pieces!”
Good luck on your furry little friend!

  8. Gary says:

Dude, that would freak me out.

  9. Michele says:

Are those your pink slippers in the photo?
Anyway, it’s the mouse from your car’s cousin come for revenge!
Glue traps! Or a Cat. Just borrow one.

  10. David says:

    Did you catch it yet?

  11. Kevin says:

Mouse? where did you get that thing? Three mile Island?
You better get out the radiation detector. I think he ate the neighbors cat.

  12. Dane says:

Scott, this still makes me laugh just thinking about it. Did you ever get rid of that mouse? That was the funniest thing to be on the other end of that IM, that night.

  13. Jennifer says:

    eww eewww ewwww!

I think I’m in the minority here, but personally, I like mice and rats. They are very smart, and God’s creatures as much as anything else. I do not think that God put them on Earth just so we can kill them painfully ith a mousetrap, so might I suggest a humane trap for this little guy? After all, he’s only there cuz he’s smart enough to have figured out that your house is a great place to be…
Anyway, mice seem to enjoy your company, maybe there is a message in all of this :)
