A bunch of random thoughts at 11:32pm

Aug 2, 2006

This is the Emerge-acostal coming out of me saying "PRAISEALUJAAAAAAAAAAH!"  It’s the first day in almost a week that I don’t feel like I have a porcupine stuck in my throat.  Whew, that was horrible!

I’m half-way convinced that throat pain is one of the worst pains to deal with – mainly because of the whole "swallowing" thing.  It’s really not optional, yet every time it happens you feel the pain.  I actually tried to deny the swallow for an extended period of time the other day.  But man, it wasn’t easy because I kept forgetting that I wasn’t going to swallow and then GULP.  OUCH!

I think I’m finally over my bacon kick.  It was good while it lasted, but it’s time to move on.  I’m really thinking of taking a more "healthy" approach to eating.  So starting tomorrow I will fast on nothing but Chicago pizza and Guinness.  :)

Big, big weekend ahead!  WOW.  80 baptisms!  Still amazed and totally excited.

These past couple of days I’ve been reading the stories from those getting baptized that tells about their spritual journeys and I am just so moved/humbled/thrilled/excited/blown away by how God is using The Orchard to help so many people journey forward in their relationship with Jesus.  It really serves as an awesome reminder of how we are all a part of something so much bigger than ourselves!

So it’s off to do some reading, sleeping (thunderstorm happening right now – gotta love that!) and then an intense day of writing in preparation for our big weekend!

Goodnite blogland people.
