Bandwidth Overage

Bandwidth

Should I be worried about this?

175% bandwidth overage projected for the month.

What happens if you go over your bandwidth allotment on Typepad?  Does anyone know?  It’s got to be the podcasts that are sucking it all up…

I don’t know how it is with typepad but with other hosting companies you usually have to pay a fee per megabyte or gigabyte for each amount over your allotted. I wonder if they have something about that in your user agreement for typepad. You might want to check it out to make sure so you don’t get slammed with a $900 bill like a friend of mine did on Godaddy.com’s hosting.
BTW, you have doing a GREAT job with your site. Keep it up!

You need rollover bandwidth! Is there such a thing?

That would be REALLY cool! Think about the money you could make by offering that. You could put GoDaddy.com out of business. =)

  4. You might email Terry. Obviously, he’s been low profile lately, but I think I remember him having a bandwidth overage on Typepad and blogging about it.
Podcasts make a big difference in bandwidth. I probably average a 1000% increase in bandwidth from podcasting.

  5. I’ve heard all sorts of horror stories about going over in bandwidth… bills in the hundreds or thousands and craziness such
