Christmas Eve Videos

I haven’t had a chance to post about this yet, but this past Christmas Eve we had three services – 3pm, 5pm & 7pm.  The services turned out great – probably the best we’ve ever done in terms of production, lighting, video, etc…  The 3pm & 5pm were packed and surprisingly, the 7pm was much lighter.

Instead of "speaking" live at these services, I decided to do my talk via video from two locations.  One was inside of a cathedral in Joliet, IL and the other was walking on a path next to our church campus.  The videos turned out GREAT!  Our video editor and director, Dan Anderson, did an outstanding job!

Here’s a link to the videos.

This link will show both videos – one right after the other.  (The 2nd one didn’t render down as well as the first one, you’ll see what I mean…)

However, I must throw out a bit of a disclaimer…  The videos are a bit Nooma’ish (Rob Bell), but since most of our people are unchurched and don’t know who he is, that doesn’t matter.  Plus, Rob’s stuff is awesome, so I’d rather the videos be compared to him than TBN, CBN or Benny Hinn.  :)

Yes, it is VERY ROB BELL, infact when I closed my eyes I wondered if it was him. However, this is such an effective tool so hey whatever works. If you do it again you might want to try and Scott Hodge it a little more though. B/c YOU are awesome and that’s who HE called you to be!!

  2. Scottt – when I closed my eyes, I couldn’t figure out who the heck it was.
