Craig Groeschel has a great post today on the consequences of a leader’s words.  It’s so right on…

He says:

    • Casual suggestions are often interpreted as direct orders.
    • Constructive feedback is often interpreted as harsh criticism.
    • Tossing out an opinion can be interpreted as “law.”

Totally true. Any time you are dealing with people that you have influence over, you have to consider the words you use. Even choosing one word over another because of it’s connotation can make a difference.
We try to do this even with our kids because words are that powerful in their eyes.
