Crazy Days

Crazy days for me right now…

Stressed about my message prep for this coming weekend.  Doing a talk on the movie, "Hotel Rwanda."  I haven’t been able to prepare and study like I normally would.  But it’s weird, because sometimes these are the best ones.  We’ll see…

We’re leaving Colorado tomorrow evening and will be back home in Chicago for one day and then leaving for St. Louis on Sunday afternoon and will then return back to Chicago on Monday afternoon. (Sometimes I wish I was a TV preacher, then I could probably have a private jet…)

We’re going to run down to St. Louis for a quick visit with my grandma (my dad’s mom) who has a very rare and aggresive form of cancer.  We’re not really sure how much longer she will be with us, so we are taking every opportunity possible to see her.  We love her so much and are praying for comfort and peace in her heart as she approaches her journey into eternity.

That’s it for now…  My alarm is set for 5:30am and my day will be packed.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.  Philippians 4:6-7

Peace.

  1. Scott: I’ve seen the movie. There’s plenty to choose from for a message. I’m sure you’ll pull it off without a hitch and deliver a great one!
My parents are in town this weekend. I’m trying to work in a family expedition to the Orchard Sunday morning in and around Gracie’s IV med schedule!
    Hope to see you then.

    Hey Scott,
I know you guys will be pressed for time but if you have an extra hour or so I’d love to see you all in St. Louis. Give me a call and I’ll come find you guys.

Sometimes We do need to let go and let God. You are in our prayers.

  4. Hey Scott! We will be keeping you and your family in our prayers. We will pray for safe travel, for an AWESOME message, and for a good visit with your grandma.
