Eugene Peterson on Storytelling, Imagination, and God’s Story

Mar 3, 2008

I’ve been enjoying watching and taking notes of an interview with author Eugene Peterson (The Message) recorded last month at the Writers Symposium by the Sea, sponsored by Point Loma Nazarene University.

Peterson shares some great thoughts on storytelling, our place in God’s story, and the importance of imagination.  (Great thoughts on imagination and faith towards the end.)

It’s about 30 minutes in length, but well worth watching.

Great find, Scott. Thanks for pointing us in this direction. And I’m so glad someone else is advocating that we pastors put down the business books and pick up fiction.

  2. emma says:

Yep, thanks for this link Scott. Peterson is one of my favourite writers, an excellent thinker.
