It’ll be worth it once you get it all cleaned up. I’m also a folders person – I try to have everything organized so if I need to find it I can. Then about once a month or quarter – I go into the folders I know that I haven’t used in a while and check them out – if I no longer need that stuff time to delete. I’m a huge fan of delete – I keep my deleted box clean and if I don’t think I’ll need it – it’s gone for good.
I also delete all of my sent items after a month – unless it’s something I know I’ll need (then it goes to a folder).
Do it while you’re watching tv or listening to music – chill w/ some starbucks and it’ll make it just that much easier.

Outlook???? I thought you were now a happy Mac user….maybe you are just cleaning up your old folders to move over to the MBP.

    Aloha Scott,
I did the same thing this past weekend, and I’ve managed to keep my inbox at zero every day since then – what a terrific stress reducer!
When we do email housecleaning, we naturally get more aware of how the emails we send can add to someone else’s clutter, and we start sending them only when concise, well written, and necessary.
Cleaning certainly can be a tonic.
