Only $25!

In case you haven’t noticed, I’ve removed all of my outgoing blogroll links from my sidebar.  I’ve decided that I am going to do something new for 2006 and offer scotthodge.org link-space for around $25.00 per year.

Ok, I’m kidding…

Actually, I’m trying to figure out the best way to organize my blogroll.  I will probably do it under categories…  However I decide to do it, I will probably try to condense the list down a bit and focus on the blogs that seem to be particularly speaking to me at this time of my life.  Don’t get me wrong – all of the blogs that I had listed (and many that weren’t listed) are great blogs with awesome people behind them, but there are a handful of blogs that I find myself staring at my Bloglines every other hour waiting for updates from.  Those are the ones that I want to share with you.  (Does that sound blog-snobby?)

Anyway – check back later for some linkage.

Not sure if TypePad allows this, but in WordPress you can creat “pages” and so I moved my blogroll to it’s own page instead of having it cluttering up my sidebar. Just a thought.

  2. Dude, you could charge $25 and people would pay it. You can bill me!

  3. Scott…add me to Dave’s bill. Heck, add us all!

I wouldn’t have been offended if I’d been removed, but I don’t think I was there in the first place. :)
I don’t think it’s blog-snobbery: I think it’s realizing that lots of people come to your blog for reasons other than just checking in on your personal life, and your blogroll could just reflect those reasons.
But it looks like you’ve got a mad money-making scheme started… perhaps you should run with it.

Ever feel like the fat kid in gym class, wondering if he’ll get picked for dodgeball?

You’re thinking of this all wrong. Don’t sell your space. Get others to sell it for you. I sell to Dave and I make $12.50/yr. But if Dave sells to Randy then Dave makes $7.50/yr and I make $5.00 because Dave works under me. I get 10 people like Dave working for me and I make $50/yr for doing nothing. Enough Daves and I get a diomand ring, or maybe a pink car.
    You get the idea now?

  7. Matt – Cool with me, but the first time I hear the word “Downline”, man, I’m bolting.

Dude–the check is in the mail!
