A little over a year and a half ago I was asked to write a story about The Orchard’s journey of change and transition for Leadership Journal.  A lot of you have asked for it and I’m glad to share that the article is now available online.

Check it out here.

    Scott,
Wow. THANK YOU for sharing this story of transformation and for modeling both humility (in serving with your Father) and grace (in asking God for what HE wanted not what YOU wanted), and boldness (in having the courage to chase His future). Your story will be used to encourage many others…I will feature it on my blog today!

Thanks Scott for the wonderful article. I remember well the initial steps of the transition and how hard it was on the staff, but if you only had known what God had in store for the Orchard!! I am so glad that God has honored the Orchard in following Him even when things were at their darkest! We love and miss you guys!

    Scott,
GREAT article. We’re three years into a similar transition in our old-school Presbyterian church here in San Diego and I can relate to your experience in many ways.
They say it takes 7 miles of open ocean to turn an aircraft carrier around. And the scenery is the same for the first 3.5 miles! Our scenery is only just beginning to change.
Thank you for sharing and taking the time to communicate it so well. It gives me hope!
