Starbucks & Akeelah

Apr 8, 2006

It’s here.  Starbucks marketing for the the new movie, Akeelah and the Bee. It looks like they have paired the marketing with their new Blackberry Green Tea Frappuccino

I have to admit, when I first heard that Starbucks was going to be marketing movies I was not real excited about it.  Still am not.  If I want movie ads, I’ll go to Arby’s or Burger King.  But – I will say that it doesn’t feel like movie marketing, which I appreciate…

Anyway…the Blackberry Green Tea Frappuccino was great!  No caffeine (bummer…), but a nice alternative to the coffee based frappuccinos or other coffee drinks.

Last food/drink post of the weekend.  (I hope…

  1. Movies. I can’t remember the last time we actually went to one of the movie megaplex’s. Might be an indication of just how busy we are, and then again, it might also reflect the lack of quality movies.

  2. David Wegley says:

No Caff? Are they using decaf green tea in it? I mean regualar green tea has lots of caffeine. Weird.

My new assistant loves those things

  4. I agree with David; I’m pretty sure that they do have some caffeine in them.
    I got my first tea-frap today… but I’m not sold on it. I give’em a C- overall.
I’m going to stick with Chai.
