It’s final!  In less than five weeks I will be getting on an airplane and heading to Bangkok, Thailand.  For about ten days I will be learning and serving alongside my friends, Jim and Judy Larson, in their mission to local bar girls and women involved in the sex trade.

A couple of years ago, Jim moved his family from Aurora, IL to Bangkok to begin a ministry providing counseling, training, job development and other services to the women and their families.  Already, they have seen this ministry make a HUGE impact in many, many of these women and their families lives.

I’m also excited because I will be taking Dan Anderson with me.  Dan oversees all of our video production at The Orchard and is coming along to serve and capture as much of it on video as possible. Our goal is to put together a series of short films of our experience to use back at The Orchard and here on my blog and any other avenues God may open the door to share them in.

We will be spending several days with Jim in Bangkok and also in some of the Hill Tribes of Northern Thailand.  To be honest, I’m not totally sure what to expect, but I have NO DOUBT that this is a God led trip and I’m expecting something big to happen in our heart as a result.

More on the trip later as we continue organizing the details…

WOW That soooooooo rocks! Sounds like a blast–in an unsure of what to expect, anything can happen kind of way. And Thailand, man. The perfect missions location for a foodie such as yourself.
