Thankful for friendships….

Jun 26, 2008

I’m thankful for friendships in ministry.  I don’t know what I’d do without them.  Seriously…

Here’s one of those friends:

His name is Jason Boucher.  He’s the pastor of Lifecentre Church in Ottawa, Canada.

Jason and I have a lot in common: same age, both of us pastor churches that have transitioned, we both now lead churches that our dads led for many years, and…….we’re both Mac users!

Can’t beat that, ‘eh?!  (Jason – the ‘eh was just for you….a little Canadian flair…)

Anyway…Jason and I had a great conversation earlier today that was definitely a wonderful shot in the arm for me (and hopefully for him too.)

So all that to say……  Surround yourself with great people!  People who are AHEAD of you on the journey…..BEHIND you on the journey…..and who are trackin’ pretty close to where you’re at.  Be intentional about it!  You won’t regret it.

P.S. You can check out Jason’s blog here.  He’s a guy who should be on your radar if he’s not already!

It was a shot in the arm indeed. I couldn’t agree more about our friendship – just don’t ask for a hug…eh :-)

Hey Scott, thanks for putting Jason on my radar. And I totally agree man, surround yourself with the best you can find!

Hey Scott. Could not agree more with you. Jason is not only my friend for many years but now my Lead Pastor. It is a absolute thrill to be able to work alongside an incredible guy like him.
    Great post!
