Thursday A.D.D. Break…

Jan 4, 2007

My blogging has been sparse lately – to say the least…  I’m busy today studying and writing for this upcoming weekend as we launch a new series at The Orchard entitled "Soul Cravings."  (Apparently, some guy named Erwin McManus has a book out by the same name!  Jerk…:)

I’m excited about this Saturday morning when we will be having our monthly leader’s gathering for The Orchard leadership community.  We call it FUEL and it is quickly becoming one of my favorite times of the month because it’s in this environment where I get the opportunity to connect with and invest into a large group of coaches, leaders and apprentices.

Because we value simplicity, we don’t add a lot of new programs/ministries/events at The Orchard, but this is one addition that is long overdue and has already reaped tremendous benefits!  To be honest, it has blown my mind how quickly we have seen our leadership culture go to a new level by simply being intentional about creating a consistent environment where we are investing, coaching and empowering leaders!  More on that later…

Thailand is only five days away.  I am really excited about the trip!  More on that later – it deserves its own post.

That’s it for now.  Back to studying!

I’d love to hear more about FUEL. Our monthly attempts have been horrible…so much so that we’ve nixed them. I believe in the value of them, just haven’t had a good format. Would love to hear what you guys do.
    btw…LOVE your blog, man.

  2. I think you should study full time because you do your best blogging then. JK :)

    Hey Scott,
Just want to say I’m so thankful to be a part of Fuel. It’s such a blessing for me to be a part of the Orchards Childrens Ministry. It helps me to keep in mind how important a job it is that I am leading children to Jesus as well as my own son Gabe. It’s an honor to serve alongside all the awesome Orchard volunteers. You and Dan are on the top of my prayer list as you journey to Thailand. See you Sunday.
