Tru Dining

Nov 20, 2006

This past weekend, Amanda and I had the privilege of dining with our friends, Ted & Kathryn Egly, at one of Chicago’s finest and most unique restuarants – Tru

Without a doubt, this was one of the most wonderful dining experiences I’ve ever had! Everything from the unique flavors and presentations to the service and fine attention to every detail…  It was all done so well.  We all had the chef’s tasting menu made up of 8 or 9 courses.  Before we left, we were even given a private tour of the kitchen.  Impressive…!

Here are a few pictures:

A few of our entrees:
Selection of Japanese Sashimi-Grade Fish, Complementary Garnishes
Millbrook Farms Venison Saddle, Zinfandel-Huckleberry Essence, Ginger Snaps, Pear
Chocolate orange mousse dessert (INCREDIBLE…)
Petit Fours Cart (MORE desserts…)

Oh, and by the way….  It was Ted & Kathryn’s 5 year wedding anniversary!  Happy Anniversary guys!

  10. Uh, bro…I looked at all the food in the photos, and there is not enough their to feed my NINE year old?!?! Did you stop at Burger King on the way home?!?!?! :)

  11. Kathryn says:

You are right, Randy. There wasn’t much food on one plate…but multiply the one plate times 10, then throw in some delicious homemade bread. We were all FULL by the end of our 3 hour dinner!

Huge Congrats Ted & Kathryn! I wish you many more! It looks like you shared a magical night.
