USA Today has an interesting article on how the modern and ancient is merging in Hanoi.  It's accompanied by a great photo slideshow.  Check it out.

Vietnam is definitely on my list of places to visit.  Have you been there?

This reminds me of a GREAT talk by Louie Gigleo @ the Orange Conference this year. He talked about the church being charged with the task of preservation and modernization at the same time! And to illustrate his point he pulled out some photos of what’s happening in Hong Kong… much like what’s happening in Vietnam!

    Hey Scott,
This is Tim from Thailand. I have been to VN a couple times this year (and to the intersection pictured in your post!). Our family will most likely live in Hanoi a year and a half from now, as we work towards finishing the translation of the Bible for a minority people group located in the north. Maybe we’ll meet when you make your trip!

A bit late here…but catching up on my blogs after being in Poland for a week. My wife and I adopted our 2nd boy from Vietnam…spent almost 5 weeks there. If you go to the the archives Oct 14, 07 you can read about our journey.
