Wednesday Morning A.D.D. Post

Jul 16, 2008

It’s Wednesday morning and I have a MILLION things going through my head.  Here’s a sampling:

Getting ready to head over to Community Christian Church to hang out and talk with their staff today.  Dave Ferguson asked me to come over and share our story and some leadership thoughts with their peeps.  Man, I love these guys and am really honored to be with them today…

My assistant, Terri, needs a new cell phone.  Which means ….  :)

Spent some time reading Psalm 94 today.  Wow, what a chapter!  Love vs. 19, “When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer.”  Love the Psalms!

I’m on my summer study break – which means I’m off from teaching for a few weeks.  I’m learning that this is one of the most valuable things I can do as a leader.  Having multiple weeks off from writing/studying/teaching opens up and frees my mind to think, dream, and plan in an unusual and larger way.

Looking forward to having my friend, Jeff Shinabarger, at The Orchard this coming weekend!  Jeff is the co-founder of the Fermi Project and Q.  He also has his hands involved in some pretty incredible projects.  You can learn more about Jeff here.  Also looking forward to meeting Jeff’s wife, Andre!

I’m excited/honored/blown away by an invitation to speak at Flamingo Road Church in Miami later this month.  Troy Gramling is an awesome guy who constantly stretches and challenges me – which is exactly what speaking at a church of 8,000+ people is going to do to me.  Ok, wow.  I think I’m going to throw up now.  Anyway…..can’t wait to be there.  It’s going to be an awesome weekend!

Ok, gotta run….  Heading over to CCC!

We are so excited to have Pastor Scott teach at Flamingo Road Church. The Topic he has chosen will have huge impact here in south Florida. It is a subject matter I hear in my personal life regularly.
